This article presents a documentary review of the academic production in the last decade, providing conceptual elements, to understand the importance of positioning and strengthening humanistic social training in undergraduate and graduate programs. Likewise a framework for the qualification of humanistic social training is being provided, which is being offered to the University Fundación Universitaria de Ciencias de la Salud (FUCS) students. It is important to address the curricular decisions that demand training, with the aim of promoting the development of personality values and autonomy of future professionals, allowing them to assume a political,social and cultural position, becoming agents of change in pro of the transformation of their environment.
