For this development, a revision was made about the conceptual tendencies of the curriculum and the management on the teaching context; after that, the concept, management and intentions of the curricular management are presented as well as the processes and procedures that are developed through the design, implementation, evaluation and redesign phases that have been described in the literature as the practices that develop the curricular management in general on the institution at micro, middle and macro curricular levels. Afterwards, the actors involved are exposed in the institutional curricular management , with an inclusive approach that postules a reflexive and dynamic methodology executed by all members of the institute. Subsequently, the tendencies of the curricular management directed to investigative, pedagogic-didactic, teleologic and gerencial characters are established. At the end the article concludes with the relevance of the establishment of the curricular management proceses in a coherent and structured way according to the inner and outer context of the institution, as well as a strict and fundamental exercise for the improvement and strengthening of quality of the higher education
